Abby went to stay in a yurt at Jackson Lake, outside of Mancos, with some girlfriends yesterday. So Dylan, Holli, and I decided to watch the Three Amigos, eat popcorn, and sleep, in the fort. We had a lot of fun, but I was always worried that the kids would get too cold. I asked each one of them at least twice in the night if they wanted to go inside; but they declined each time. We had a lot of blankets and wore winter hats. Sleeping above Durango with no roof provides awesome views of space. During the night I saw two shooting stars; and I recall in the middle of the night laying next to Holli having conversations about all the stars, constellations, and satellites. She amazed me a bit later when she told me that it must be getting close to morning because she could see fewer stars. Pretty smart reasoning! When we got up, the temperature read 29 degrees.
Brrrr! You three are brave! Sounds like a fun night!
