Dylan is awarded!

Awanas is an evening playgroup that the kids go to at the First Baptist Church of Durango.  Dylan doesn't like Awanas.  He cries whenever he realizes that it's time to go to Awanas.  Today Abby and the kids were running late so rather than picking me up from work before taking the kids to Awanas, I met them at the church.  When I showed up, Dylan saw me and began to cry (he had been holding it in).  After a couple of minutes, he  was okay and we left.  Dan and Kim joined Abby and me and we went to Carver's for some appetizers and beers.  The weather has been great, so we walked there.  When we got back, the kids were just wrapping it up; one of the first things I hear was that Dylan was receiving two awards.  Abby began telling me how she overheard what the lessons were for the last two weeks and that she signed the pages indicating that Dylan had completed the exercises.  Dylan had not done these things because we had a few things going on the past couple of weeks and the kids had not been to Awanas in a while.  But since we want Dylan to have fun, Abby figured there was no harm in setting him up with a couple of awards.  As soon as Dylan received his awards, he turned back to us from the front of the church and was super proud of his huge accomplishments!
